Deep into the night

When the clock shows 11pm and the wise man is in a sleepy mood, sometimes he will start wondering about the mysterious things in life…. or just surf the net for some stupid stuff. You’d be amazed what kind of stuff pops up in Google when you search for the word “dumb”.

Of all these retarded laws, let’s study one of them. I’ll pick one out : “In Baltimore, It is illegal to take a lion to the movies.” You might think : you must be rather unclear in the head, wasted or even on drugs, when you would only say something like that to f.ex. your wife, friend or relative. Moreover, in order to make this an actual law, as in ‘an official rule for people’, written in a constitution, you are probably a “Tofu Lao” in mandarin (a person without a brain, like a plain plate full of tofu).

Just think with me, what if a person in Baltimore actually took a lion to the movies and based on that event, the local authoroties would then create such a law. That would make more sense and that is what probably happened.

However, not only the person that took his lion to the movies, must have been really dumb. Worse, the lawmakers could not have figured out that someday, perhaps another dumb person would bring his poisonous snake to the movies. Or another possible case, some dumb farmer would decide to bring his aroused bull to the local McDonalds, you can imagine what would happen there, right ?!

As a summary, not only regular people are dumb, but even lawmakers might be shortsighted, and thus… dumb.
